Job purpose:

·       Primary role is to manage the overall activities of the Import and Export vessel operations with correspondence to Customs/ Terminal Authorities, Internal Stakeholders, Vessel Partners (where applicable) for the good sake of the calls.

                                                                                          

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

Vessel Operations

 

·         Responsible for informing of the planned operational schedule changes, providing all related documents and the necessary support to the vessel and its crew Prepare Call

·         Check and share berthing window/prospects and actual schedules with Lines/Stakeholders

·         If the berthing window is not respected, (re-) negotiate the berthing schedule with the terminal

·         Order gangs/cranes and communicate call sequence

·         Declare port & vessel clearance 

·         Order and coordinate husbandry / stevedoring services Vessel Operations

·         Order and monitor supply and other services (e.g. cash to master, sludge…) Follow Vessel Operations

·         Provide cargo documentation to the vessel

·         Follow, order & coordinate services (husbandry & stevedoring incl. mooring bunkering & departure)

·         Generate Reports according to deadlines 

·         Manage & monitor terminal services

·         Coordinate vessel sailing

·         Alert Regional Ops, Lines, and Berthing Manager if any incident

·         Monitor & report procurement of terminal services and husbandry

·         Monitor & report ongoing operations & productivity

·         Monitor Waiting time, Idle time, and productivity and focus on continuous improvements

·         Cargo follow-up:

Ø  Manage special events (holds, customs inspection, damages, malfunctioning reefers, COD)

Ø  Produce discharge lists / load list

Ø  Provide azardous data to local authorities (import, transit, and export cargo)

Ø  Coordinate POL loadings with dedicated teams, upload partner load lists, and inform Cargo Flow for

Ø  prechecks (for provisional and final load lists)

Ø  Follow-up loading instructions

Ø  Crosscheck DG manifest

Ø  Prepare & provide special cargo documentation to husbandry or partner

Ø  Produce provisional & final load list to ship manager or partner (inform Cargo Flow)

Ø  Produce load lists to the terminal

Ø  Compare pre-stow with load list

Ø  Follow-up cargo operations and manage the shortfall

·         Post-Sailing Activities:

Ø  Investigate discrepancies between Port Completion Report and invoices received from cost control

Ø  local/auxiliary task

 

 

 

Equipment Management:

·         Analyze and manage stocks (Track and monitor idle empty)

·         Consolidate and provide report for equipment forecasts & availability

·         Organize empty repositioning

·         Release equipment

·         Redeliver equipment

·         Deliver accurate data & reporting to Customer Care Idle team for long idle full (>30 Days)

·         Manage Seal Stock

·         Assist RO in depot service sourcing, procurement, benchmarking and audit

·         Implement depot allocation strategy

·         Depot visit auditory (process and security)

·         Implement pick up drop off policy and invoicing

·         Maintenance and Repair

·         Manage Recovery / Apply Logistics fees

·         Handle Reefer monitoring (e.g. spare parts, GenSets)

·         Manage Off hire repairs / Align depot with Group requirement / Negotiate rate

·          Benchmark Depot / Depot operational audit / Manage Depot Survey

·          Physically control repair quality

Education requirements:

   Language requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or qualified professional

Good Command of Spoken & Written English.

                                                                                                                                                                                

Background and experience:

  Competencies and skills:                     

·       5 years’ experience in the Container Shipping industry.

·       Port Process, Documentation, TTN tool handling

·       MS Office Applications and ability to prepare reports.

·       Knowledge of geography and port operations.

 

·       Excellent communication, written and verbal.

·       Team Player, strong interpersonal skills.

·       Customer Orientated

·       Attention to detail, error free working.

·       Work well under pressure in a fast-paced and professional environment.

·       Flexible, willing approach to adjust to new Systems/ Processes, when applicable.
